With an Indian Passport, Go Visa-Free or Get Visa-On-Arrival highlights Jagmohan Garg

In this years Global Passport Index, India ranked number 78th in terms of travel freedom. As of January 2017, Indian passport holders had visa-free or visa on arrival access to 46 countries and territories around the world high note by Jagmohan Garg. This figure includes 20 countries and territories where an Indian can travel visa-free and 26 where the citizen can utilise the visa-on-arrival option.
Germany took the top spot as the country with the most powerful passport, with visa-free travel to 160 countries, followed by Sweden in second place with 159 and Denmark in third with 158. Among Asian countries, India ranked 35 out of 50 with the top spots going to Singapore, South Korea and Japan respectively.

The 20 countries and territories offering visa-free trips to Indian passport holders are: Bhutan, Dominica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Fiji, Grenada, Haiti, Indonesia, Jamaica,  Macau, Macedonia,  Mauritius, Micronesia,  Nepal, Palestinian Territories, Saint Kitts and Nevis,  Senegal, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Vanuatu.

The other 26 countries offering visa-on-arrival are: Bolivia,  Cambodia, Cape Verde, Comoros, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Guinea-Bissau, Jordan, Kenya, Laos, Madagascar, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Mauritania,  Mozambique, Palau, Saint Lucia, Samoa, Seychelles,   Suriname, Tanzania, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Togo,  Tuvalu, Uganda
